Special track pieces, also known as inversions (such as loops, helixes, etc.) to add to fun and excitement.
Banked track on curves to reduce excessive forces and tone down intensity.
Make sure the highest non-lifthill peak is lower than the lift hill peak.
Initial slope downwards after the pull chain ends, to build speed and allows the cars to finish the circuit.
In reverse inclined shuttle launches, put the pull chains behind the station platform.
Medium incline track with pull chains (not needed with powered launch mode).
Ride track that begins at the station platform's start and reconnects to the station platform's rear in a continuous loop (not neccesary if the operating mode is Powered Launch or Reverse-Incline Circuit Mode, but make sure the train eventually reaches the station platform again in reverse).
At least one piece of connected Station Platform track (one station platform can fit the entrance on one side, and the exit on the other).
Some rides cannot be tested, and coastercam can be used during testing in RCT3.īuilding a Roller Coaster Coaster ChecklistĪlthough not theoretically needed, having the following components will help create a working, profitable coaster. In RCT1, most guests will not ride a roller coaster unless it has been properly tested and given a rating. Test the ride, set an admission price, give it a name and determine its operating characteristics. Mechanics enter by one particular ride entrance in RCT3.ħ. Note: Mechanics find rides by the exit in RCT2, so when a ride breaks down, exit paths are required. Having an elevated exit directly over a path will cause the guests to fall onto that path, therefore, no path is actually needed to connect. It is also possible to leave the exit without a path, guests will wander until they find a path close by. paths can connect directly to entrances without queue lines, but the maximum queue length would be limited to 1 guest. Create a queuing line to attach to the entrance, and connect path to the exit. Place the entrance and exit for the ride.Ħ. For some rides, building is a single click process, for others, it may take some time.ĥ. Determine the location and orientation of the ride, then click the spot on the landscape where you want to build it. Select a ride by clicking on its picture or the 'Build This' button.Ĥ. Click the New Rides button to open the Ride Selection window.Ģ. It can be paused during this in RCT3, and will automatically do so during construction.ġ. That should fix the problem.Note: the game cannot be paused in RCT2 while building a ride. If your waterslides are getting stuck, hit pause, close, construction, then open again and unpause. (After walking that far, tired and hungry guests are more than willing to pay high prices.) However, when they are too closely packed, shop owners may end up competing for customers, causing the overall price level to fall. Park owners can charge the highest prices when their shops are near the rear of the park. Use a variety of good acts to keep the audience engaged. The cheapest monorail has the fewest stops. The busiest observation decks have ample view of the park (preferably 360 degrees). Too many paths for instance confuse guests and get them lost or angry. He will pay twice the listed amount to ride the ridesĬonstruction is cheaper on a level surface than an uneven one. He will walk around the park with thought balloons about his head saying WOW!Įnter "John Mace" as a guest name. Keep doing that and the sick guest will become very happy and healthy.Įnter "John Wardley" as a guest name. When a guest is sick, pick him up, drop him in the water, pick him up, drop him in the water etc. You might have to delete a piece of track and replace it with the same piece to make it work. The text at the bottom of the window should change if done right. If they don't show, quickly switch the ride from test run and back to closed again. When guests get tired of a rollercoaster, simply shut it down and take out a single track and replace it with the same track, then re-open it, guests will treat it as if its a new attraction!Įnter Mr.Bean and you will have very slow go-carts.įirst, close the ride/attraction. However, don’t get carried away! If you do it too often, the guests won’t buy them anymore and will become disgruntled as a result. Popping balloons around the park and owned by patrons is rather easy in the game – all you have to do is click on them and they will automatically pop. To get more money, simply raise the fee of the park when people are coming through the entrance gate to increase your profits.
